Western Valley Forge and Farrier is owned and operated by Ben van der Valk of British Columbia, Canada.
Ben van der Valk is a graduate of the Canadian School of Horseshoeing. He has studied Equine Sciences at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Before his career in horseshoeing Ben completed his guide outfitter training and was a horseback guide in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia.
At Western Valley Forge and Farrier we believe that the long term soundness and usefulness of your horse largely depends on the quality of hoofcare your horse recieves over its lifetime. Quality hoof care through regular trimming and shoeing is essential to keeping a healthy and sound horse. No two horses feet are the same and we will provide hoofcare that will be the upmost benificial to the horses individual needs and uses. We are availible for hot and cold shoeing, corrective and theriputic shoeing and barefoot trimming.
My promise is to always treat your horse as I would my own personal horses. Every horse, regardless of age, use or price, has an inherent dignity and is worthy of the very best care and respect. I do work with, and through your local veterinarian and encourage you to call them as required.
